What Support Looks Like

Support should make a difference in the parts of life that matter to you. Once services are authorized, we use assessment and conversations with you and your chosen support team to understand what is happening, why it may be happening, and which skills or changes could help. That becomes your individualized Behavior Support Plan.

Depending on your goals, we can teach and practice ways to communicate needs and preferences, set boundaries, manage frustration, cope with changes, and move through daily routines with greater independence. We can also work on skills for taking part in activities and relationships at home and in the community.

We break skills into manageable steps, model strategies, provide guided practice, and help caregivers and staff respond consistently. We also look at the environment—sometimes changing the demands, routine, or support makes an important difference.

Together, we define what progress will look like and review observations and data to see whether the plan is helping. We adjust as needed. Goals are individualized; outcomes are not guaranteed. Kai guides clinical services as a BCBA and Pennsylvania Licensed Behavior Specialist.
